GUFSS enhances the quality of Forensic Science at Griffith University by fostering professional and social relationships between Forensic Science students, hosting social and academic events, providing academic support, and developing industry knowledge.

Welcome to the Griffith University Forensic Science Society!

Founded by Griffith University undergraduate students in 2016, the Griffith University Forensic Science Society aimed to foster a sense of identity and belonging within the only specialist Forensic Science degree offered in Queensland. GUFSS has since evolved into a dynamic student society that welcomes any undergraduate student, postgraduate student, Griffith University Alumni, or other members of the community passionate about forensic chemistry, forensic molecular biology, the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Forensic and Scientific Services, the Australian and New Zealand Forensic Science Society or other professions actively involved in the field of forensic science.

Becoming a member of the Griffith University Forensic Science Society will provide you with the opportunity to engage with likeminded individuals, develop professional connections, access academic support, and gain industry knowledge at various events including speaker nights and seminars, networking events, laboratory tours, team competitions, an annual ball, and the 'Best Event of 2023' Murder Mystery Night.
